Ducks (アヒル Ahiru) are species of villager in the Animal Crossing series. They are distinguished by their wide rounded bills. Most ducks have frontwards eyes, but some ducks have sideways eyes, an example being Freckles. Only a few ducks have visible nostrils.
There are a total of nineteen duck villagers, of which ten are female and nine are male. Four are jock, four are lazy, one is smug, four are snooty, four are peppy, and two are normal. There are no cranky or sisterly ducks.
Most of the ducks' catchphrases contain the word "quack".
